Tuesday we were off to the city! We headed across the Tappan Zee Bridge to the Tarry Town train station to catch the express train into the city.
Well when we got there with all of our goods, we notice the elevator is out of order, are you kidding! We are thinking how in the world are we going to get our suitcases and the stroller up all of the stairs and just then one of the construction workers comes over and picks up the stroller with Colt in it and carrys it up the 30 stairs and then goes back for all of the luggage. What a great guy! Luck fully his boss saw us coming and got the elevator on the other side to work to get us back down to the platform.
Colt loved the train. The conductor was so much fun he would come and chat with us and give Colt ticket stubs with smiley faces punched in them and he looked just like the conductor in the Polar Express! The train took us to Grand Central, then we took a cab to our hotel, which was right in the middle of Times Square. We checked in and got settled and then we were off to see the city. We headed up to Rockefeller Plaza, then we went to the American Girl Doll store, where we saw this lady......
After AGD, we headed for Tiffany's....So fun to visit and see all of the beautiful things. Then we headed into Central Park, by the time we hit the park we were all so tired and hot. So we stopped for a bit and got some ice cream and just watched everyone go by.
We decided to ride the subway back to the hotel to save time and everyone's sore feet! That was an adventure with a stroller and stairs and gates that aren't big enough... But we finally made it through and Colt loved riding it just like the train.
We hurried back to the hotel and got all cleaned up and headed to dinner. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and across the street was the M&M store, well Colt loves M&M's, so he just sat and stared at the the jumbo tron on the side of the store. Well all of the staff at the restaurant thought is was so cute that they went next door and bought him a bag of M&M's. It was so funny. After dinner I took Colt back up to our room and he got to spent the night with Miss Katie, who is Cherie's BF that lives in the city. He was more than happy to spent the evening with a cute blonde! Thanks Katie! Then us gals headed to Mary Poppins, it was a great show and was the perfect way to end a great day.
