Road Trip..... Spokane Washington

So we decided since the Aggies were going to be playing in the NCAA tournament and it was only 9 hours away we should go. We conned my parents to to making the long drive with us. My grandma, Uncle & cousin decided to fly up to Spokane and we all met to watch the game. It was a blast. Yes, we lost but it was still a fun trip. We left Thursday night and planned to make the 6 hour drive to Missoula MT and spend the night there, then get up and go the rest of the way Friday morning. All was well until we hit a blizzard of snow just before Dillon MT, so we stopped in Dillon to fuel up and the snow had stopped so we decided to go on...... A half hour or so later the snow was back.... anyways we rolled into Missoula around 2 AM. We slept for a few hours and then we were off to Spokane, what a beautiful drive. Our tickets included the game before ours, it was between Purdue & Sienna. It was a fun game, all of the Aggie fans were cheering for Sienna. Then it was time for our game and all of the Aggie Crazies were on hand cheering loud. At the first of the games the students have been doing this "I believe that we will win" cheer and they jump while yelling it. Well, the student section was above us, but our section joined in on the cheer and the floor was shaking, it was such a crazy feeling. We cheered loud but the Texas A & M Aggies were just to big and strong for us. But our seats were awesome, they were only ten rows off the court and it was a fun atmosphere. After the game we went down the street to a restaurant named Anthony's for lunch. The restaurant over looked the Spokane River which runs right through the middle of town. I was such a beautiful view. Here we all are at dinner, Tanner, my cousin, Destrie, Me, My Dad, My mom, My Grandma & My Uncle Dave. The sun was so bright that the pic is not very clear. Anthony's View from the restaurant After we were done eating, a Texas A&M fan came over and told us good game and that he really liked our team and that our fans were hilarious to watch. We chatted for a while and met all of his friends and really had a good time with them. Then the restaurant was having an oyster slurping contest and they all did it and we stayed and cheered them on. After dinner and the oyster slurping we decided to go walk around the river and just sight see, since it was the first time any of us had been to Spokane. It is such a beautiful city. With all of the bridges and water right in the middle of town. Mom & Dad on the Bridge D & K on the Bridge It is so much fun to go to tournament games, everyone on the streets were giving us there condolences on the game. Better luck next year. Did you know that Spokane is Basketball Town USA???? We headed back to Couer d 'Alene Idaho to spend the night friday. It is such beautiful city. Saturday morning we got up and and toured the city before heading home. My mom has always wanted to see the Floating Green at the Couer d 'Alene Golf course. So we found that and it was beautiful. The Floating Green. Lake Couer d 'Alene The Golf Course What a fun weekend! Thanks for going with us Mom & Dad! We can't wait until our next road trip. Destrie has informed me that we have traveled over 2600 miles in the last two weekends.....
